RISING MALLANG
The word 'Mallang' refers to someone who has realized the inner joy of his being. This is a state of inner ecstasy that is not absolute but is constantly ascending. 'Mallang' can be referred to as anyone who has come in contact with his/her own inner music. 'Rising Mallang' means an ascending (rising) consciousness that flows within all of us.
With Music and other forms of art, we share our understanding of the Musical Traditions of the Mystics, Mahasiddhas, Yogis, Sufis, and the Bhakti Movement of India. In the present times, musical traditions are rapidly disappearing due to mainstream media and general disinterest in the mystical oral tradition of ancient India.
Our effort is to share our experience and understanding of these Musical and Spiritual traditions directly. We welcome anyone who would like to come along on this journey and experience the 'Mallang' within.

Learn MoreNada Yoga is a spiritual practice that involves the use of sound and vibration as a means of achieving a state of meditation and inner peace. It is based on the belief that all things in the universe are made up of sound and vibration, and that by attuning ourselves to these vibrations, we can access higher states of consciousness and connect with our true selves.
Nada Yoga involves the use of various techniques, such as chanting, singing, and playing musical instruments, to create and cultivate a sense of inner stillness and tranquility. It is often practiced in conjunction with other yoga and meditation practices and is seen as a way to connect with the divine and find inner peace and clarity.
We offer Nada Yoga classes and retreats for people who wish to experience Meditation, Healing, and Inner Tranquility.
Dhrupad is a form of Hindustani classical music that originated in India. It is a vocal genre that is traditionally performed by male vocalists, and it is characterized by its meditative and contemplative nature. The lyrics of dhrupad compositions are typically in Sanskrit or Hindustani, and the music is based on melodies that are called ragas, which are constructed using specific musical scales and modes.
Dhrupad is known for its emphasis on rhythm and the use of specific vocal techniques, such as prolonged sustenance of notes and the use of intricate ornamentation. The style is considered to be one of the oldest and most traditional forms of Indian classical music, and it has a long and rich history that dates back several centuries.
Dhrupad Retreat is meant for students who wish to learn and experience the meditative aspect of this music style. We host retreats for students and seekers who wish to learn this style of music.
